Side Story: Little Squid, Big Trouble.

　　Day 14

　　(Squid Jr`s point of view)

　　Dad! Why did you leave me alone with the crazy, strong lady, a kraken and a whale?! Every time I look at them I feel like I`m going to be eaten! I even tried to talk to the kraken but all he talked about was trees! What do I care about bark?! Of course it is rough!

　　Lets not even mention the whale... those teeth scare me. I`m staying as far away from it as possible.

　　Yumi is okay, I like her... in a so hopeless it is funny kind of way... but she seems too busy yelling nonsense at the crazy strong lady.

　　Her eyes seemed to pierce me for a second... that monster woman... she frowned.

　　Don`t tell me she can even read my inner monologue?!

　　I love you Mom...

　　She smiled?! She really can!

　　Uh... I need to get out of this mad house...

　　"Um... Mom? I`m gonna go play over there..." [Squid Jr]

　　She looks at me but seems distracted by my use of her weakness... that word. She nods her consent as Yumi is trying to argue with her... I can even see a spirit animal behind the siren as she blazes with intensity, unfortunately it is a clown fish.

　　As I sneak back behind the coral and wander a bit away from that mess...

　　I run into a bull shark...

　　Normally I would defend myself but I know this guy.

　　"Hey Kenith, good to see you again!" [Squid Jr]

　　"It`s the squid kid... fancy meeting you again..." [Kenny the Shark]

　　"What are the odds, right? It`s a big ocean." [Squid Jr]

　　"You know... I get the feeling that you short changed me on the last deal... I mean I almost drowned playing dead and all I got was a few mouthfuls of fish." [Kenny]

　　"...but I`m also making sure you don`t get eaten, my Dad eats a lot of shark..." [Squid Jr]

　　"I`ve been thinking on that and I`ve never really seen this giant ice squid... all I hear is rumors of rumors. I`m starting to think that I should have made a counter offer." [Kenny] "You and the siren in my belly for none of this boogiesquid nonsense."

　　"Are you serious...? He isn`t very far away." [Squid Jr]

　　"Like my hunger pangs." [Kenny]

　　"Dumb-ass." [Squid Jr]

　　"Says the two foot tall order of calamari rings!" The shark utters, biting.

　　Jet Clone Jutsu activated~

　　The shark slices through the fake and turns around sharply, looking for the real thing.

　　"Stupid shark, that was only my after-image! I`ll teach you to fear ninjas!" [Squid Jr]

　　Ice Kunai Jutsu activated~

　　A set of permafrost darts puncture the shark`s snout.

　　"Oh and here`s your surprise gift..." [Squid Jr]

　　Ink Bomb Jutsu activated~

　　A black package attached to the darts bursts in the shark`s face blinding him completely as the water became filled by a dark mist.

　　"Do you want more, you stupid bully? Because I have plenty more pain to bring!" [Squid Jr]

　　I hurl more darts anyway, just for the fun of it. Really guys like this are too easy.

　　&

　　I don`t hear the shark anymore...

　　I do hear crunching though...

　　&

　　I can`t see it through the ink...

　　I should get away while I can. It sounds big.

　　I start to jet.

　　"Are you trying to run, squid?" [Unknown]

　　It finishes eating the shark with a gulp.

　　"You know, you`re not a normal creature. I haven`t seen anything like you before." [Unknown]

　　"Look, I just want to go back and wait for my Dad, I don`t want any trouble." [Squid Jr]

　　"No? Well I do. I like the taste of squid. That texture is delectable. No, I think you aren`t going very far at all, young squid." [Unknown]

　　Ice Kunai Jutsu activated~

　　Ink Bomb Jutsu activated~

　　I hurl a full set of my darts at the voice. I trigger another ink bomb and jet for it.

　　As I pull away I feel movement in the water. Its big and fast!

　　Jet Clone Jutsu activated~

　　I evade as it comes up behind me.

　　I hear a clicking sound... is that... coming from the whale?

　　Oh shit, here he comes again!

　　I hurl another ink bomb.

　　I try to jet aside but I realize at last... as he appear jaws agape...

　　He can see me through the ink!

　　With rapid turns I use my ability, leaving multiple fakes in the path as I slide away.

　　Only... he avoids them again and tried to catch me.

　　He can see through the clone technique too!

　　Using my skill solely for the evasive movement this time he just misses me.

　　I hate this... he`s gonna get me for sure next time!

　　Ice Kunai Jutsu activated~

　　No! Not even the darts penetrate his skin very far!

　　I wasted all my paralysis darts on the strong lady!

　　I`m gonna die!

　　"Daadddyyy!" I scream begging for help.

　　Anyone!

　　"Moommyyy!" I cry out, terrified.

　　Silence.

　　Why did the sea suddenly seem to shudder?

　　Why does it feel like demons are about to pour onto the world like an unstoppable plague?

　　&

　　Oh.

　　Mommy is here.

　　She looks pissed off.

　　Ah. I see.

　　She wasn`t joking... she really is the strongest...

　　& and she`s mad.

　　"..." Orca urinating in terror.

　　"What were you doing to my son?!" [Charybdis Furious]

　　"... I... I... but... I was..." [Orca]

　　Behind the monster of monsters other fearsome shapes line up, a whale that looks bright red with barely contained anger...

　　A kraken growling...

　　Hell... even Yumi looks ferocious right now! The clown fish was replaced by some kind of giant ice thing! ...she`s crushing a lump of coral in her hands!

　　"He was trying to eat me, Mommy!" I cry.

　　The sea suddenly began to feel like the Apocalypse had begun. I think I can see Death in the corner of my eye, waving.

　　"...oh... fuck me..." [Orca]

　　What proceeded was the most terrifying sight I`ve ever seen.

　　The kind of thing that would be perfectly at home in a horror story...

　　After a lot of begging and screams for mercy, the tone changed to `please just kill me`.

　　Suffice to say, the Orca eventually became whale food. Piece by piece.

　　Done Charybdis showed a worried look and rushed over, pulling me close.

　　"Are you alright?! It didn`t hurt you anywhere did it?! Because if he did...!" [Charie]

　　You already killed him! What more can you do?! Wait... I don`t want to know!

　　"You saved me Mom!" I hug her.

　　She pulls me in close and smiles softly.

　　It feels safe here... and so soft.

　　I want to stay here, nestled between her breasts forever...

　　"That was too close. Next time you don`t go anywhere alone! Take the kraken with you. He should keep you safe... if he doesn`t I`ll have him for breakfast!" [Charie]

　　(Whine) [Kraken]

　　"Mom? Can we stay like this for a while...? I like the sound of your heart..." [Squid Jr]

　　She seems really pleased and goes red.

　　"...sure..." [Charie] "For as long as you`d like."

　　What we learned this episode:

　　Do not ever get between a mother and child.

　　Charybdis is even scarier as a devoted mother!

　　What we missed:

　　Finally... nothing!

　　Next week the finale... over two chapters... also perhaps another side story or two!
